Students and Horses Excel
The Core of our Program
Each session focuses on:
- Learning the language and movement of Equus...the horse.
- Learning to focus, concentrate and complete a goal.
- Learning time management, problem solving and anger management.
- Gaining confidence in individuality and one's leadership capabilities.
- Finding mental balance through determining a direction, setting a pace and applauding the spirit of success.
- Finding physical balance through centered riding and mounted gaming.
- Basic horse handling and understanding safety zones.
- Basic horse care and grooming.
By demonstration students are taught to assess the difference in danger, fear, or confusion and experience the consequences of overreaction versus throughtful response.
Students learn techniques to redirect an intense situation towards the positive. Applied in life, this has the potential to keep emotional reactions in check and have the confidence to take self-protective affirmative action.
Recommended number of sessions is twenty-four. Sessions take place privately, in small groups, or overnight camps. Scholarships are available.
