Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies (EAAT)

incorporate equine activities and/or the equine environment to assist in rehabilitative goals related to the patient's needs and the medical professional's standards of practice.

 

The therapeutic qualities of horseback riding are recognized by many medical professionals, including the American Physical Therapy Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association.

Our Riding Academy is home to a herd of well-trained and good natured horses that provide mounted and non-mounted therapeutic activities. Our professional staff enriches a student’s awareness in the historical contribution of the horse to modern civilization through historical activities; while honoring the spirit of the horse.
